Danny Thompson

Danny Thompson’s journey as a Myopractor and holistic healer is a testament to resilience, growth, and a deep dedication to the well-being of others. As someone who has faced and overcome life’s profound challenges, Danny brings a unique blend of personal experience, academic knowledge, and cultural awareness to his practice, offering clients a safe and transformative space for healing in Tucson, Arizona.
Born and raised in San Rafael, California, Danny’s early years were marked by a battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Diagnosed at just 2 years and 10 months old, he underwent chemotherapy from age 3 to 6. After a brief remission, he faced a relapse that required radiation therapy and another round of chemo. Through remarkable determination and the support of his family, nurses, doctors, surgeons, and an extensive medical team at UCSF, Danny overcame these early adversities and has been in remission ever since. Now 34 years old, he reflects on these formative experiences not as obstacles but as the foundation of his profound empathy and trauma-informed care.
Danny’s academic journey began at the University of the Pacific, where he majored in Communication and Spanish. His education provided him with essential interpersonal and communication skills, teaching him how to listen deeply, connect authentically, and convey understanding—qualities that are invaluable in his work as a healer. His studies also sparked a passion for cultural exploration, leading him to study abroad in Antigua, Guatemala; Córdoba, Argentina; and various parts of Costa Rica. Immersing himself in diverse cultures, he developed a deep respect for the interconnectedness of human experiences, a perspective that continues to influence his holistic approach to wellness.
After graduation, Danny embarked on a career in online reputation management, specializing in crisis management. In this high-pressure role, he guided thousands of clients through emotionally charged situations, offering support and solutions during some of their most difficult moments. This experience honed his ability to navigate emotional complexity with compassion and clarity, skills that seamlessly transitioned into his practice as a myopractor. While his corporate career provided stability, it also ignited a deeper calling to explore spirituality and natural healing.
Danny’s spiritual awakening began in earnest when he relocated to Arizona. Drawn to the transformative energy of the Southwest, he immersed himself in the healing arts, living and volunteering at Sedona Mago Retreat, a Taoist center nestled in the mountains, and Pachamama, an eco-village on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. These experiences were pivotal in his personal and professional growth. He participated in and facilitated self-development seminars, healing workshops, sound healing events, yoga classes, Native American sweat lodges, and plant medicine ceremonies. Each practice allowed him to heal his own traumas, expand his self-awareness, and cultivate the inner peace that now serves as the foundation of his work with clients.
In 2018, a serendipitous recommendation from a friend introduced Danny to Cherae Aquis, a massage therapist whose innovative approach would profoundly shape his understanding of the healing arts. Cherae’s work, a synthesis of Dr. William J. Huls’s methodologies, Mary Burmeister’s Jin Shin Jyutsu, Swedish massage, reflexology, Reiki, and John Upledger’s craniosacral therapy, offered Danny a new perspective on the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. Her sessions, which ranged from three to seven hours, provided a space for Danny to access deep relaxation and the delta brainwave state—a realm of profound rest and healing.
For five years, Danny worked closely with Cherae, attending sessions weekly, bi-weekly, and eventually monthly. This consistent practice helped him internalize the principles of deep relaxation and muscle memory, enabling his body and mind to establish a baseline of peace and calm. Inspired by the transformative impact of Cherae’s work, Danny committed himself to sharing these powerful techniques with others.
As a Myopractor, Danny combines his diverse experiences and training to offer clients a holistic approach to wellness. His practice is rooted in the belief that true healing involves addressing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of an individual. Drawing from his own journey, he creates a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Danny’s approach is highly personalized, recognizing that each client’s path to healing is unique. He integrates techniques that promote relaxation, release tension, and restore balance, helping clients reconnect with their bodies and access their innate capacity for healing. His trauma-informed perspective ensures that clients who have experienced past traumas feel empowered and respected throughout their sessions. Whether working with someone recovering from physical injury, managing stress, or seeking greater self-awareness, Danny’s compassionate presence and intuitive touch inspire trust and confidence.
Living in Tucson, Arizona, Danny has cultivated a practice that reflects his deep connection to the natural world and the vibrant community around him. He believes in the importance of continual learning and growth, regularly participating in workshops and training to expand his knowledge and refine his skills. Beyond his professional pursuits, Danny is an advocate for self-care and mindfulness, encouraging his clients to integrate these practices into their daily lives.
Danny’s story is one of transformation and purpose. From overcoming childhood cancer to exploring diverse cultures, navigating high-pressure professional roles, and immersing himself in the healing arts, every step of his journey has shaped him into the empathetic and skilled healer he is today. Clients who work with Danny often remark on his ability to create a sense of safety and trust, allowing them to embark on their own paths to wellness with confidence.

Through his Myopractic practice, he helps individuals not only alleviate pain but also rediscover their inner strength and resilience.
